O fuk. You're gonna love the new powerband lol. Seriously one of the best mods I did to the ST. What turbo did you go for!? That little thing is gonna haul some serious ass.

Are you planning on any sort of additional fueling - Water/Methanol or Port Injection? I'm not sure if the Fiesta ST had the same problem as the Focus ST with trying to make boat loads of torque down low and the HPFP crashing so it may not be needed.

General Discussion / Husky getting rid of 94 octane?
« on: August 17, 2017, 04:34 PM »

Maybe someone on the forum knows more about this, but the last time I went to fill up with Husky 94 octane, they had a sticker over it saying "91". I asked the guy inside and he said Husky was changing to 91 octane.  He wasn't sure if it was all stations though.  Anybody have any more info about this?

This was in Winnipeg?

I first heard this rumor about a month or two ago and took it with a grain of salt. However on my trip out west a week ago I noticed that every Husky we filled up at had a 91 sticker over the 94 pump. It seems the "rumor" was true - only a matter of time before it trickled into MB / Winnipeg I guess.

At the end of the month I'm taking my Subie (and I guess my girlfriend too) and I'm looking for some roads to drive through if anyone knows of some nice ones. The plan is:

Winnipeg -> Banff -> Jasper -> Kamloops -> Whistler -> Vancouver -> Seattle -> YellowStone -> Mount Rushmore -> Fargo -> Winnipeg

If you don't mind flipping your route around, Highway 99 is absolutely beautiful and an incredible twisty drive. It's the section between Lillooet and Whistler. I just did the Canada portion of your drive a couple weeks ago.

If you're interested in that highway you're probably looking at Winnipeg to Whistler then to Vancouver / Banff.

Also Going to the Sun road in Montana is absolutely beautiful. It miiiight fit right in between Mount Rushmore and Fargo. Highly highly recommend this route.

OP is this for your Evo X? Might be worth contacting Chad @ Perfect Performance.

Shady? I'm sorry, what? Do you have personal experience or are you just hearing this from word of mouth and repeating it because you feel like you have a good idea of what they're all about. It's a metal fabrication shop with a dyno in the same facility. Might want to collect all the information before you go spouting off opinions like they're facts.

If you're going to flat out call a business shady maybe put some insight into the claim instead of just leaving the sentence open ended and expecting others to fill in the blanks.

As of 2 p.m. Friday afternoon, no severe thunderstorm watches had been put in place in Manitoba. Cloud cover, early thunderstorm activity and a strong cap suppressed the severe thunderstorm threat to a point.
Thursday afternoon, Friday’s storm threat could have been described as a “boom or bust” situation. If storms were to develop, they would be big but there was also a chance they would not develop at all. North Dakota is more likely to still see severe weather.

Updated further. Let's hope they're right this time lol.

http://globalnews.ca/news/3595952/risk-of-severe-weather-friday-in-manitoba/

Looks like this was updated recently. The fourth paragraph in particular.

Quote
Friday morning has already seen some non severe thunderstorm activity in parts of southern Manitoba and the Interlake. Generally, areas in southern Manitoba see non severe thunderstorm activity Friday morning are less likely to see severe weather later in the afternoon. This does not apply for the Interlake areas as the “cap” in this region is significantly weaker. A storm can be “capped” by warmer air aloft which is the situation most of southern Manitoba is seeing Friday morning. This is not to say severe weather cannot be triggered, it is just more difficult.

Not sure if this means no storm or....

Pretty fast course yesterday, my best 4th run:

The M2 was in the birchwood booth so unfortunately that wasn't an option for me - but damn that does look like a fast course.

Yup.

You crack the container and squeegee it onto the windshield. It's a hydrophobic coating for glass - just like Opticoat / Ceramic Pro / GTechniq is for paint.
