Engine & Transmission / Clutch replacement questions
« on: September 10, 2015, 09:14 AM »
So unfortunately my clutch has kicked the bucket (2000 Acura Integra GSR B18C1). I have a few questions. I have already picked out Exedy OE replacement kit (clutch, pressure plate, release bearing, alignment tool), my question is should I replace my flywheel too? If so what brands do you recommend? Should I go lightweight or something close to stock weight? And also I was wondering in regards to types of transmission oil I should use? Or is it like the engine oil situation where it's all different opinions?

Thanks for reading

Brakes & Suspension / Blox Rear LCA Bushings
« on: June 22, 2014, 11:45 PM »
Okay, So when i purchased the Teg from Igor, i got a set of Blox Rear LCA's, the bushings were shot, So now im faced with the problem of going with the Blox replacement bushings or running some other brand of bushing. Ive been reading that Hardrace bushings are good, but they need modification and then i also read that they dont. So i dont have a forsure answer.

So basically im just seeing if anyone here is running Blox LCA's and if they have ever done a bushing replacement and what bushings they used/how well they lasted.

Thanks for reading!

Reviews / Vernaus Auto Body - Highly Recommend
« on: June 10, 2014, 10:53 PM »
Info
Name: Vernaus Auto Body
Address: 160 Higgins Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3B 0B8
Phone: (204) 982-4540

Review: 10/10 - Highly Recommend

So recently I was in an accident, it did quite a bit of damage compared to what the pictures show. After his evaluation (Vernaus), he said there was around ~$5300 damage, and amazingly MPI chose to fix it.

This was my car after the accident:

And one of it, i took the next morning.

So a month later, after MPI is out of the way and Vernaus is fixing it for me.

I first spoke with John there, I believe he is the owner, or at least co-owner with his brother, the wait time was slim to none, he got my car in right away, had it all ripped apart that day and had contacted MPI before the day was over. This was on a Friday when i dropped it off. I received a call the following Monday, and he basically told me most of the parts were in, my new rad was installed, the headlight, bumper, and a few misc. parts had arrived. I spoke to him about me bringing my hood in so he could blend it with the bumper, he said he would need it that day, but doubted he would even need to blend into it. Needless to say they work quickly. Less than 3 days and it was already in prep and ready for paint. I dropped by on Monday and dropped the hood off. Took a few pictures:

Now a few days went by, I was constantly updated by their system they use, I received a text message and email daily on my progress of my vehicle. On Thursday I received a call the car was done and out of paint Along with an email and text from their system. Also found out they didn’t even blend into the hood. They were just waiting for another part to come in (bumper light). I received a call Friday around noon, saying my car had been completed. I got there, spoke with them at the front desk, he said he thought it turned out great, so i went and looked, it look amazing, in my opinion A+ work and A+ on how fast they did it. They even vacuumed my whole car and gave me a free 2-3oz bottle of touch-up paint. I later found out their Rookie painted did my car, amazing job!

I would 100% recommend Vernaus Auto body for any vehicle collision needs, i believe they do the standard car repairs as well, but i only got body work done. Johnny, and all his other employees were great to deal with, and very nice. And in the end, my car came out amazing in my opinion.

Reviews / Kildonan Lock Service
« on: December 31, 2013, 10:38 PM »
So i just picked up the Integra last night, and it only came with one chipped key. Igor only got one when he bought it. So basically i needed to get a key cut.
So i first contacted Crown Acura, It was $60 for a key cut + 1 hour for labour and i would have had to make an appointment. Then my father looked around and found a place called Kildonan Lock Service @ 334 Union Ave W, Winnipeg, MB R2L 0C8. They Charge $80 for the key + programming. And it took 5 minutes. And the staff there are super nice. My total was about $90 for the key and i got another house key cut too.

I would highly recommend them, and would for sure would go back!

Off Topic / Which one?
« on: May 06, 2013, 07:56 PM »
So, throughout the last day or so. I have been asking in chat box iPhone 5 or Galaxy S4?

Im upgrading my contract in 1 month. And im torn between the S4 and the 5. Or should i wait for the iPhone 6 and hope its released soon.

I have a few points i see here. S4 is pretty big. But its also faster. I really can't make a choice.

So what is your opinion?

Off Topic / Indoor Hockey (VOTE)
« on: October 01, 2012, 05:29 PM »
Hey guys, Everyone has been talking in the Outdoor Puck thread. And i just wanted to make a poll to see what time we should get and if we should get it for that fact. Me and Darcy have been talking about the ice times once and a while. He needs two weeks in advance for one ice time booking. And if we book so many days a month. We get the ice cheaper and we have a set and for sure time to play. This will cost a bit of money to my understanding. So you might expect to bring a little bit of money when you come and play. This i assume is just until the outdoor ice gets here. Then everyone will most likely be there. Cast your vote and we'll see what happens. This is just to see the interest and see if its even worth booking ice or if we wait a few months till the outdoor ice is ready.
