I've had neighbours run after me, and follow me to my house to bitch me out for driving too fast, mean while i don't ever leave 2nd gear on my street. They think that because its a bay, they're welcome to let their kids play in the middle of the road whenever they want.

Happy thanks giving! =)
This is my neighbors, all the time. Complain that I drive too fast, etc etc. Just because I'm the young kid, and easy to blame. They're going to love the exhaust I just put on my truck, that will be command started every morning its below 0 :)

Jordan I got Procomp front kit which came with the Keys and Shock Extensions.  Hardest part is busting the keys loose off the torsion bars. Also alot of up and down on the hoist after dialing in the front height.

If I were to do it all over again I'd probably go with a coilover conversion bracket kit from Atomic
https://atomicfabandperformance.com/product/99-07-gm-lift-kit-coilover-conversion-brackets/

ON top of the brakets you would still need to get a coilover system, correct? Is this just for the fronts?

My dad put a 2.5 inch levelling kit on his truck from rough country. The build quality seemed really good on it. I'm no metal expert but those "disks" that level it were very heavy. Perhaps solid steel. His came with a 1" rear one too though because with just the front in , it sat .5 higher in the front. So with the 1" rear it fixed that.

The chevy kit is a bit different. Just shocks, aftermarket keys and blocks for the rear. The newer sierra/silverado is similar to what you describe though.

How's the ride with that kit? Any better/worse than previously?

Don't they make a 2" levelling kit for your guys trucks or no?

Yea, rough country does, and I'm sure others do too. That was what I was leaning towards, but I think i'm going to sort out the rockers/cab corners before any more mods.

I do haha. We crank the t-bars a bit, but didn't wanna go to much. It does appear to be a little more level in person, front is only about an inch lower, but a Level kit would be next on this list.

Yea the wheels don't have that low of an offset so its fairly contained within the fenders. There was basically only room to drive straight down the raod too, if you look at the full size, the fenders are pretty caked.

Saturday I Got my wheels and tires on, naturally, had to test em out and it was a perfect day for it.
They work:
I was impressed with how much bite they had even with a decent amount of sticky clay/mud on them.

It is my hope to update the TTI community with a fresh new warning about a scammer in our midst...

Just dropping a note to let everyone know he is back and he is still scamming people. I want the news to spread. I am not interested in any sort of witch hunt and I won't be posting any details about what he has done except to say that he is taking advantage of people every opportunity he gets. I know of five people within the span of 6 weeks that were directly scammed by him. I apologise in advance for the vagueness of my posts but I don't need any more sleepless nights because of this dirtbag.

Please be careful! There are people out there who are specifically looking to take advantage of you.
Sounds like you should tell the entire story so everyone can avoid the deal.
Not everyone knows who he is, or what he looks like. Could easily make a deal on kijiji without knowing the guy. Not everyone gives their names out on their, myself included.

General Discussion / That EZ
« on: September 12, 2017, 08:35 AM »
I've seen it look good, and I've seen it look like crap. It really depends on the car in my opinion. When done well, it doesn't look too bad, but you can still tell its a cheap EZ lip.

Apparently their insurance rates are also very very high, especially when you're a new driver.

Oh yea it definitely is. My GF's brother was quoted a couple thousand for the year, but her mom pays under 500 for a year, its really strange. And their insurance isn't for one specific vehicle, its for the driver for that vehicle. When we went there, my gf and I had to added to the insurance in order to drive the car, even though her mom was insured to drive it, we wouldn't be covered unless we were added. Really strange.

In Ireland and the UK, regular gas was 1.30 Euro, and Pounds per liter. That's almost $2.00/L for regular haha.

I heard someone came across it while the guys were working on it. What happened after that? Did he call the cops and yourself to notify it had been found? Did you confront the guys or leave it to the cops? Curious how the rest of it went down. Glad you got it back!

Then for next year take the Evo out late summer for a month or 2......spend time hoarding parts and installing all at once at Perfect Performance.
Makes sense. When you said "I will be planning on using this over the winter's and as a daily driver", I was under the impression that both vehicles would be insured and driven at once, to save money. I'm currently in this situation, have a celica and a silverado both insured, and it definitely doesn't save money, which was why I chimed in haha.

Won't this end up costing more than you save, as you now have 2 vehicles to spend gas on, 2 insurance payments, 2 vehicles to maintain etc.
