General Discussion / Tough Intersection... (for some)
« on: April 09, 2016, 10:37 PM »
One that I've noticed people don't seem to understand is the intersection at Memorial/Osborne/St Mary, Turning from Osborne onto Memorial North.

I've seen a lot of people turn from the far right lane into the lane second from the median on Memorial, which is clearly not correct from the dotted white lines through the intersection. I can understand in winter when you can't see the lines but in the summer I've had people honk at me for turning into the proper lane. The middle lane on Osborne takes the second from the median on Memorial. Stop doing it wrong people.

Spotted a silver Nissan in St Boniface last night, pretty sure they flashed their lights at me. It was dark out but looked like an S14 or R33

I went through the same thing a couple years ago with one of my rims although mine was repairable. I didn't end up claiming it since I was told you'd be at fault. I just left it and got the wheel fixed at Ultimate Wheel Works.

I just need one nice day soon when I can get my car from where it's stored to my house cause I have a set of winters for it just in case.

I was just thinking of taking my summer car out of storage one day when it's nice just to have it at home, but keep the winter car insured just in case.

I used to analyze when the best time to take my car out was, or when it would be "safe" to switch over to summers. Then I realized that most of that doesn't really matter lol. The BRZ will be out once the snow and puddles are gone, and it will be on summer tires. I also don't really worry about tire compound either because if it's dry, you won't wipe out and die if you drive like a normal human being. I drove on Rivals in the fall with temps down around 0 and they were fine during normal driving on dry pavement.

yolo
Kind of what I was thinking. I need to get the Celica out so I can fix a few things on the Camry and sell it as soon as possible.

Yeah I know it's still way too early, just wanted to get some ideas on when is usually the best time and what to do when I take it out.

Looks like we might have a pretty early summer this year as well, I hope. Although it's supposed to get cold again next week and possibly snow.

Hey everybody, I figured this would be an appropriate thread given the nice weather lately. I looked for a similar thread but couldn't find anything.

When does everybody usually take their summer cars out or put their summer tires on? Obviously when the snow melts but is it safe to wait a bit after that as well just in case? This is the first year I've stored my car so I'm curious. Also what kind of things do you do to your car before driving it?

New Civic hatch coming to the US. Honestly I'm not a fan, barely looks like a hatchback to me, and 4 doors? Meh.
