Officially traded in the Focus yesterday - onto bigger and better things! I'll start a journal for this one soon. In the meantime, enjoy this S I C K cellphone pic from the delivery room.

Man! After a winter of driving with a white vehicle, I can't believe the amount of contamination that gets picked up.

I wonder what it is that is rusting. Because it doesn't have any short term effect on the paint. Almost like salt particles

It's industrial fallout - particularly bad in the winter because the salt causes everything that's accumulated over the last 6 months of summer (and however many of winter) to oxidise at an accelerated rate. Brake dust, rail dust, dust from when they're cutting the re-bar for new roads, literally anything with a little bit of iron in it that settles into the paint.

Words right of my mouth. Careful with making a hobby your job!

I'm in Respiratory Therapy right now which is quite similar in terms of work hours etc. RN's have the ability to make quite a bit of dough and have extremely good work hours / holiday time (at least here in Canada). I'm not 100% sure on how you'd go about re-certification, I imagine its something along the lines of having to re-write the registry but it would definitely be something to look into! That's also on the assumption that your RN certification isn't directly transferable to Canada!

Here is a layout of the event tomorrow. We will have 3 entrances this year with a staff member at each one that will help guide you into the lot. There will also be multiple volunteers in each parking section wearing reflective vests. Please follow their instructions as they are only there to help park you as smoothly as possible! If you are arriving in a large group (8+ cars), let the person at the entrance know and they will help ensure you will be parked together.

We also ask everyone to wait until 12 to arrive. It would be greatly appreciated as we will be setting up until that time.

You can come in via either entrance! We'll have entrances on both sides this year :)

Gas pedal spacer?

Moves the pedal up so it's on-level with the brake. Some of them can even more it closer to the brake so its easier to heel-toe.

Those are fantastic tires. I'll have to see if there's anything available in a size I can use.

I'm thinking about a bigger turbo next summer already too...

Patiently waiting for the M2 delivery date (slated for June 6th). I should know by Friday if it'll be here earlier than that and if that's the case I'll be there!

I had a kijiji post - but 26.5 with everything on it. Looking for around 19500 with no CCW's, or air ride. Let's keep this thread about Dan's vehicle needs. Didn't mean to threadjack.

Car is officially on stock suspension, CCW's are off, meth kit is out.... All that's left is to tie in the factory amp so that I can pull out some of the audio equipment.

New car should be here in a couple weeks! It's a BMW.

If this is including the tuning software / device, whatever you want to call it - then I completely agree, this is within the reasonable range for good quality aftermarket tune.

For the record, I was 100% serious on buying my Focus ST. It's not all-wheel-drive, but it has the power level you're looking for. The vehicle is extremely well kept and hasn't had any major issues in the 40 thousand kilometres of life. It's currently sitting on stock suspension and the CCW's are off the car. I know it sounds like I'm being pushy (I am) but you'd be hard pressed to find another car in this condition in this price range. All this being said, if it's not the car you're looking for I understand - we all have our wants and needs and those need to be satisfied at the end of the day.

The cars on your list are sort of all over the place in terms of what you're looking for... are there any other criteria you're looking to satisfy? It would go a long way in helping us, help you, find a car suited for your needs.
