I've done enough research however I would like your opinions on this matter.

I'm looking at a future daily driver and I'm stuck between

                            98-00' Toyota Celsior (ls400) vs Toyota Aristo (Gs300) (2jz-ge non-turbo)

For reliability sake, what would you choose?

Nice buy. Any modifications besides the exhaust and tail lights?

@McRae555 They're both very reliable cars, mechanically. The suspension design is relatively similar between the two, although they don't actually use the same components. Balljoints and bushings should be taken care of on cars of that age but aside from that, you are most likely to encounter electrical issues in the form of solenoids burning out for the power options, or other old electrical problems. The 2JZ-GE and 1UZ-FE are ultra-reliable and will go for a long time when taken care of. The NA 2JZ-GE is a real dog though, it kills the fun you could be having in an S16. The chassis itself is pretty good with some stiffening up, or you can just enjoy the quiet comfort. The Celsior is going to be slow and pillowy regardless, even with the V8. But the interior was top notch world class at the time in terms of quietness, and it's pretty a nice place to be even by today's standards. I would choose the Celsior, since I found the NA S16 to be pointlessly slow- might as well drive a full-on luxury car. The interior is nothing special in the Aristo either, until the later half of the model's run, where it got some nicer finishes and bit more wood. Earlier models just have way too much plain plastic. The fuel economy is still bad with the I6, so even that doesn't justify it. If you wanted a sportier RWD Toyota, but not a TT Aristo, an Altezza would make more sense than an NA Aristo.

@firelizard this is Sunny's old Aristo.

There's a bit done but still learning as I go, such as new coil overs,  bbs wheels, tom's exhaust and tom's front bumper, ARS delete bar, halogen retrofitted headlights that are now LED, some aftermarket fog lights,  and a north American stereo and amp.

I'm sure there is more, but still learning as I go lol

Hey thanks @firelizard! That answered everything I was questioning myself about, perfect!

Are either of them easier to safety? Or about the same considering they both have USDM equivalents?

Good question, I think they would both be similar as they have USDM equivalents. But maybe someone with these cars can speak for the experience.
It's maybe just a question of finding LS400 parts or GS300/430 parts.

Yeah, there's no trouble finding DOT approved parts for either one. Genuine Lexus parts are still really expensive, but there is more affordable aftermarket for pretty much everything.

No longer part of the Yota family, sold my Celica last weekend :(

Although I'm still driving my Camry but it's just not the same.
