Well honestly I was almost never a fan of Mitsubishi back in the day, even with the Eclipses. For some reason I liked Talon's though. :s

But since starting on Dec at Vickar Mitsubishi, I decided in order to help me believe in the product. I would need to own a Mitsubishi of my own. Not a fan of the things out which Mitsubishi has now a days...and honestly not a fan of the EvoX either!

So after a lot of debating and asking on the Team Mitsu section in General. I had decided to go with a V with Brian at B.pro.
I was at first thinking of either Legnum, Galant or EvoIV...but Brian found a vehicle for me.

1998 Mitsubishi Evo V GSR

Auction grade is 4(ext) and 4(int). KMS are a little high with 129,130. But the kms were ok with me.

Car is still in Japan. Signed the papers and the vehicle should be paid off next week...possibly Tuesday this week.
Then get the clutch replaced, flywheel resurfaced and possibly get the brake pads changed once it hits Vancouver.

Timing belt was done with servicing at 106,238kms

Pretty much stock except some gauges(found out these are actually OEM DIN gauges), turbo timer, exhaust and driver side Recaro seat.

The waiting part, is the hardest part..

Thanks. Honestly I would love to start modding it and crap...(ricer in me)
But I think I would like to make sure everything is up to maintenance. As I want to make this a lasting vehicle. So no auto x yet and I will try....TRY to refrain from driving too much in boost.

This is my first F/I vehicle with power.

Only thing closest to that is my x5 with its 4.4 v8 awd. And I don't even go hard on that either.

Weird that the seats don't match (driver's is a Recaro Tomcat, maybe??), the shift knob isn't stock and various interior bits look unoriginal. I bet she has a story, though!

LAME!! my car has 125k and I boost all the time.  Whats the point of buying a turbo car if you dont have fun with it.  AutoX isnt hard on your car, @TonyPajamaz had an EvoIV and autox'd hard and it never died.

Well for an update, I'm gonna send the car off to a guy in Calgary that I have met off FB and IG and currently owns 3 Evos. V, VI and an VIII. And has dealt with Brian from Bpro alot.

Also Brian hooked me up with a clutch.

He's willing to do more work than that of Japanoid and much cheaper

                                So this is my list for items for him to do for me;

                                - clutch change and install
                                - flywheel resurfacing
                                - throw out bearing
                                - rear brake bad install
                                - transmission oil change
                                - transfer case
                                - coolant changed
                                - engine oil/filter changed

Should be just DRL's and some shops may make you put in Mirage headlights.

Also picked up a set of rear brake pads (Akebono) from work(Vickar Mits)..

Oh and here are some pics from Brian(Bpro) for updates..this is the clutch change out in Japan.
I had plans to get it changed out in Calgary with the set he was gonna give me for free...but it missed the boat last month(18th) so they had to change it.

Now I dont know what they replaced it with, Im waiting on Brian to get me that info...

Yeah some shops will be harder on you since it is a RHD and they might not allow the lights if they aren't 100% sure that they will be fine with the cops because if they are bad and you get VIU'd a cops can go to the shop that gave you the safety from what I understand.

Yeah, well lessen my chances as I don't cruise anymore. And I'll keep the signal markers amber.

Dude any updates with your Evo?

Nothing really, didn't have the hours at work to fund any car parts lately so I had just been keeping up with maintenance and changing things out such as lightbulbs as they burnt out. Only thing I've bought as far as parts were some Ralliart front LCA bushings.  Aside from that nothing = ( I'll probably update my thread sometime soon.
