it's easier to learn when raining or you have crappy tires

i have no idea where i placed. i know that i gained 10 seconds on my second run due to knowing what i was in for and dropping my tires 10psi (thanks to joe the instructor)
and then run 3 got me 2 more seconds
run for was 1 second faster but i had 2 cones somewhere so as much as i would like to take credit for that... i cant.  i'll deffinately be back once my car is fixed. i got smoked on the way home. front left of my car is all... messy

I apologize to any TTi member working in group B yesterday. I think I hit more cones in one run than I did from the last 3 events combined!

I ended with my slowest time counting. 66.671  :-[

First run out 65.9 with a cone.
Second run out 64.9 with three cones.
Third run out was 65.1 with three cones again.
Fourth run I took it easy to avoid the farking cones and put in a 66.0 for my fastest overall.

I DNF any of my runs, but at the same time I didn't hit any cones.  That said, my times were slow.

1: 127.6
2: 138.4 (tried going slower)
3: 128.1
4: 125.1

Not happy about not finishing, not really pleased with my times either, but it was my first time, and I was having... People issues, you could say.
That aside, I had a lot of fun, and want to keep trying.

Now that I checked the result papers again, I actually hit 12 cones.

1st - 81.311 with 1 cone
2nd - 77.004 clean and fastest
3rd - 80.505 with 5 cones and an almost spin out
4th - 72.451 with 6 cones

Not too happy with the result, but I think I'm finally seeing the potential of my car.

I pulled a 62.0 on my last run.  Good for 2nd place.  Jeff in the other S2000 got me, as did Joe in the Corolla but he hit a cone so I stayed in 2nd.

Looks like lots of people were having fun!  That was a TOUGH course to navigate, the toughest this year.  The narrow runway makes it obscenely hard to make a fun & flowing course that is also easy to navigate.  If you got a few off-course runs, don't feel bad.  The course changes every time, so you never really know what you'll get until that morning.  They're usually easier to navigate than that one.

Josiah, hope you had a fun ride with me!  I mentioned before that my first runs are often interesting.  That one certainly was - I overestimated how fast I could do that first slalom by 10 or 20 km/hr.  I'm not sure how I didn't take out that big diagonal wall after it...  LOL!

Group B drivers:  How did you like the announcing?  I'm still learning, honest feedback is appreciated.  I think I was waiting long enough after runs so that you can hear it as you go by the speaker.  Long-term we may try to get an FM transmitter so that anyone with a radio can hear what's going on out there.

i couldn't really hear anything when i came off. to much addrenaline to pay attention to anything. maybe that's just the noob in me. lol fm transmitter wouldn't help me either. no radio. (maybe i'd get some of those headphones with the antenna's and redneck em up to my helmet. ;)
