I was followed by a police officer last night.  I made sure to use my signals and come to a complete stop at the stop signs I was approaching (as I always do) and he eventually gave up and left me alone, didn't even pull me over for my aftermarket exhaust.

Then you get a ticket for a straight pipe exhaust, which you know is illegal per the HTA.
I consider every deleted post a small victory.

Sorry maybe I didn't word it right , I mean like , if I'm driving PERFECT, and they pull me over for no reason then find it kinda thing. But like shifting before 2000 to keep it quiet

I guess this answered my question:P good to know that if you're driving good, they won't pull you over just to nail you . It's more of if you step out of line be prepared to pay

based off of what I heard on the radio on my drive to work this morning (paraphrased) " Winnipeg police with be considerably increasing the number of units out during sunday night cruise due to the increasing amount of street racing complaints" - 92citi
based off of the article tagged by OP sounds more like starting this sunday they'll be more active in general during popular cruise times.  Which in my opinion would be Friday evening to Sunday night

If  you're worried that much you can just get a new catback. You can even throw up a "For trade" ad on the forums and trade yours for a different catback.

Just because you drive nice doesn't mean i cop can't/won't pull you over. They pull people over for no reason at all. If you are worried about being busted for illegal mods then you need to stay away from popular streets or "pay to play."

I love how all the guys on Facebook that got pulled over and towed last night are complaining. "My tires rub, but my car is safer than anything out there. why aren't you going after Lamborghini's! They have the same tire to fender clearance!"

                          Jesus. *facepalm*

If you think that's safe, you deserve to be pulled over and towed.

Its pretty funny though, I didn't one lifted diesel out last night. And they're part of most of the complaints.

If you eliminate the trucks , and the young teenagers in their pos cars ripping around there wouldn't be any complaints

Exactly. For the most part everyone is usually very responsible.

It's always the few that ruin it for the most.

Could someone link a public version of traffic act, or whichever document dictates acceptable vehicle modifications?
Or is the grounds for ticketing based on the same criteria as safety inspections?

I'd like to give myself knowledge, just in case I'm selected for a "routine vehicle inspection". Not looking to be rude to the officer that may pull me over, but more for my own protection and to be able to argue any illegitimate claims against my car.
