Could someone link a public version of traffic act, or whichever document dictates acceptable vehicle modifications?Or is the grounds for ticketing based on the same criteria as safety inspections?I'd like to give myself knowledge, just in case I'm selected for a "routine vehicle inspection". Not looking to be rude to the officer that may pull me over, but more for my own protection and to be able to argue any illegitimate claims against my car.
I'm not a fan of blowing for a long time anyways ; )
Cruised all evening and didn't have an issue. Cruised beside the VIU truck for a couple blocks down Portage don't think they even paid attention to me.I heard they were looking for obvious camber, scraping and wreckless driving.Seems like it's pretty easy to avoid the radar.
The only modified cars i could really see them pulling over that are driving normally are the (multi colored panels from donor cars) rice rockets that have a "safety" and are generally unsafe for road use and are loud and obnoxious, usually trying to race everybody and their grandma. They deserve to get pulled over.
that's not true and I can confirm that..
I can confirm his confirm...
http://dodologic.com/2015/06/what-you-need-to-know-about-car-meets-in-greater-vancouver/Similar things have been happening in other provinces. If the police can do it in Vancouver, where there are a lot more younger/import car guys with a lot more money, chances are there is no way to stop it from happening here. As long as the the general public doesn't mind it the police will continue to target us. Give it 30 years and things will change. I've met a couple VIU inspectors and they're all pretty nice guys just 1) don't drive dumb 2) if you do get pulled over don't use your sassy eff tha police attitude.
Sounds like a whole lot of common sense that isnt that common anymore.
I went out tonight for cruise night and I only saw one police car and I didn't even see a VIU truck. Was at NMT, Flea Whisky's, and Grant Pony Corral. Was pretty surprised.
