With the recent VIU inspections, a few people have been looking for copies of the various documents outlining the regulations for vehicles and modifications. See the attachments below.

If I've missed anything, feel free to add them.

Edit. The Highway Traffic Act PDF is too large to upload in this post; here it the link to it: https://web2.gov.mb.ca/laws/statutes/ccsm/h060e.php

Edit.. Shaun fixed it. HTA is also attached.

Anybody know if I need a hood?

I searched the documents above and saw mention of failing inspection for issues with the latches, hinges, damaged crumple zone on the hood, but absolutely zero mention of a missing hood...

As far as I know it falls under the same section as OEM equipment if it came with it it must have it installed.

I believe so, because it's part of the crash structure?

That said, I've heard of people being told they're okay (by WPS) as long as the washer nozzles are on the cowl rather than the hood, since those are required.

Talked to one police officer and he said I needed a hood. Talked to another and he said I didn't need a hood. The search continues...
