So, I need a new battery for the Miata. Factory small battery is $170 something bucks at the dealer. I think that's in the same ballpark as those little Odyssey or Braille batteries isn't it? What's out there now, for small, lightweight batteries that hopefully won't break the bank? Locally. I need a new battery before I hit the road with the car; I don't want to get stranded.

Worst case, a cheaper-than-dealer factory replacement.

Bump because the S2000 will probably need a battery too.

If someone knows where I can get this locally without bending over, that would be the best possible outcome.

What about using a Honda civic battery? Code 51r iirc. They are pretty small. If you've looked into this already then disregard this post lol

I'm using a Honda Fit battery on my civic, smaller than the regular civic battery. can't remember exactly the price but I think it was a little over $100, it's a motomaster battery.
