I'm not a fan of blowing for a long time anyways ; )
What happens if you chose to fight it, and then 2 years down the road you cant make it?Can you just pay it before the court date?
guess everyone is fighting them. Why give them money right away
If you know you have a valid argument to a ticket morden court office can get you in within a week usually.
My understanding is you have to attend court to contest a ticket in the same jurisdiction as the ticket was issued. Example, if you get a ticket in Brandon, you can't get a court date in Winnipeg to fight it.

Ugh girlfriend just got one in the mail. $350 for going 50 in a 30 when she was on the way to a funeral :/.Someone in my office said they got a cellphone ticket for just touching their phone, as vocally told by the judge "even touching it is against the law". I was under the impression that the law was "use":https://web2.gov.mb.ca/laws/statutes/ccsm/h060e.php
I've heard multiple times, from cops on News broadcasts, etc. that if you even have it in your hand or are touching it, they will give you a ticket.
Right, but just because they give you a ticket, doesn't meant the ticket is for a valid reason. I was wondering if someone had advice from a lawyer or who had also been to a case like that. The burden is on them to prove you're guilty. If my phone was in my front jacket pocket and i was removing it to give it to my passenger to answer, I have to touch it but wasn't using it.
I don't agree with always fighting tickets, if you got caught doing something you weren't supposed to you should just pay it and move on with your day.
