      Calling @CKlass @bshaw @robot

Does Magnaflow make a OEM swap? If not, get a a nice 3-4" can and get it fabbed up at a muffler shop. Tanabe, HKS, Cobb, Invidia, Nameless, anything can be thrown on there. '99 is Gen 3, I have a Gen 2, I got a custom 3" Cat-back to a Tanabe done up. Search for some sounds you like, purchase, and head to a shop :)

The longer the glass pack, the more sound it will reduce, and more restriction will be created. There won't be a specific length that will be best unless you are looking for maximum performance which would be best not to have one at all ie. straight pipe.

The internal diameter of the core is what matters. unless your going to be upgrading to huge turbos, 3 inch will be more than enough. depending on how much boost you end up running a 2 1/2 should be sufficient as that is most likely slightly larger than the stock diameter.

Second gen twin turbo legacy has 2.5" piping stock. I am going to guess the third gen does too. When I bumped it up I felt a bit quicker spool time do to the reduced backpressure. dont go to big or youll be dumping fuel, running lean and it may cause heating/cooling issues
