So someone I know is claiming his Acura SUV will pass tech just because it falls within the proper wheelbase dimensions. Forget which model it was.

                      Any truth to that?

If the vehicle is wider than it is tall it meets the SCCA's dimensional requirements. We've had a Porsche Macaan run without issue. It must also pass the tech inspection via the tech form.

Looking forward to finding out how much I've been over estimating my driving skill...

I see 4 S2000's were separated under 0.5 seconds overall, good battles shaping up.

@Coach congrats on your 1000 points for Mod today, looking forward to dueling straight up with you in SMF and taking home all the points.   :D

Had a blast. Think I'm addicted. So much more fun than drag racing.

Big thanks to the guys instructing. I'm awful with names. Learnt a bunch and improved each run. I over drove parts of my last run but ended up cutting off 2 seconds.

Need to do some maintenance to my car and hope to be back soon.

Damn you @Coach for that Janzen-esque last run. @Magner I may need to borrow your car for a rematch! This time there will be more than points on the line...there will be beer to fight for! Bring your wallets, I won't be buying.

Seriously, nice last run Coach...'til we meet again. :)

This. I seem to recall an earlier post where I stated that you just have to come out and try it, don't need to worry about buying a turbo or coilovers first.

That's a good question. Got a huge item off my list this weekend. found all the parts and install the subframe with the new steering rack. Lots of little items left. I MIGHT get it running under its own power for event 2 but it will not be race ready.
Plan is to get the car running on version 1.0(my old ACR setup installed on this car) and do some of the big upgrades later this year between events.

Nice, another one hooked, it just takes that first day to get hooked. My friends dragged me out to an event 6 years ago and I haven't shut up about it since.

We can arrange an SMF grudge match/rematch later this year.  ;)

SO SO Much fun!   Had a great time learning with Rob, he must have been dizzy jumping in and our of our noob driving skills all afternoon!   Thank Rob for the great tips, and just for keeping me on track!   I think by the end I was finally figuring out how to make the STI oversteer, come in hot and let off so the back swings around!  Would be at every single event this year if I didn't just by the wrx to flip!  Unfortunately we need a yard, gonna try to get a beater to join you guys again!

                                                Loved it, addicted as well!
