So i guess to start this off i will introduce myself, My name is Eric, i am 18 years old and i am a first level (soon to be second) carpentry apprentice!! I have loved anything with an engine my whole entire life, weather it's cars, sleds, you name it!

This is my second car, my first was a 1999 Forester with a 5 spd and as much as i enjoyed that car, my plan with it would have been a engine swap but with work and school time just was something i did not have.

Which brings me to the 2005 forester xt 5spd, it come with a turbo engine for a nice and easy platform to start with from the factory which really helps when your life is quite time sensitive. And well this car has everything i could ask for!

Technically i have already started the "build" so to speak but its not far from stock at all. I have already installed a cobb catback exhaust and a set of rally armour UR mud flaps.

And i have also recently picked up a set of wrx sedan struts with koni adjustable dampening inserts and koni blue sport springs, now the guy i bought them off of had them on his sf5 for a while so i don't believe they will fit on my 05, i have read that the fronts will fit but not the rears, not a big deal im going to test fit them before hand anyway. Then buy some strut spacers. I'm leaning towards 1/2" in the front and an inch the rear for the soul reason that i don't want to be too low, and still want to run factory spec tire size.

    Heres a quick picture of the suspension

    According to Subtle Solutions their HDPE 1" saggy but spacer fit Foresters from 1998 to 2008 and their HDPE 1/2" nose dive spacers fit 1998 to 2008 foresters as well.

      Does anyone know of a good place to get struts spacers? Apparently Subtle Solutions does not deal with Canadians...?

        I don't know what those are but it sounds like they just don't ship to Canada. Have you ever shipped anything to a parcel service in North Dakota like Pembina Parcel?

              I have one set that I had said I'd sell to @Barrett but we haven't connected yet. They're the 3/8" ones. One pair. Also have a big brake kit :p

                  I had one of @dano 's saggy butt spacers. :D Apparently @dano 's butt kept sagging so he kept a couple of extra. lol JK. I was gonna make a build thread but too lazy.

                    I was more looking for  1" for the rear and 1/2" for the front since the suspension i bought has lowering springs on it...

                    Where did you (@dano) originally get the 3/8" from?

                      Subtle solutions. Bought two sets and shipped them to the border with a bunch of other parts. Didn't use either because I bought a Koni kit with struts and springs for a wagon.

                          Well i think im going to try and chuck them on sometime this week to get an idea of how much spacer i will need. And i would that you up on your offer kin. But i am going to be autocrossing it this summer and think it would be better to have the sport springs on all 4 corners.

                            Hey @krez003 , I said hi over on the Forester Forum. Check out ADF - AndersonDesignFab or Primitive Racing. Both have a multitude of lifting options, I like ADF for the quality and ease of install and design vs Primitive... Primitive has great protection (skidplate, trans and rear diff plates) and a bunch of accessories.

                                      So i have an update for tonight!

                                      I was supose to help my buddy put coils on his supra today but those plans changed so i did this;

                                       I got my suspension on and man is it ever low! I didnt put any strut spacers on as i dont have any but i think im just going to go with a 3/8's for the rear. No running but i do have a slight clunking coming from the front, im going to check it out tomorrow as i am so tired and running on pepsi.

                                      Here are a few more pictures;

                                      Wayyy to much camber in the front, so im going to have to purchase some camber bolts. In the mean time ill see how close i can get it.

                                          Again thanks dano.
