    If I'm not mistaken I bought some at Adams supply on wall a few years back.  I'd check any nut/bolt supplier, like Midcan fasteners if more convenient.

      Ive called all the suppliers in Winnipeg. The 574 is a flange sealant called up in my engine manual. Due to the labor of getting at the chain covers, i figure I might as well order the proper stuff.

        What you're looking for is called anaerobic flange sealant. It's used for machined metal surfaces with gaps of 0.001" or less and cures in the absence of air.

        Permatex makes a comparable product, Anaerobic Flange Sealant, available at PartSource/Canadian Tire. https://www.permatex.com/products/gasketing/permatex-anaerobic-flange-sealant/

        Part number 51531, retails for $17.99 shown below.

          Thanks, looks like a possible alternative.

          I was able to order in a bottle of the 574 from Toronto through McMaster-Carr.
