Quick little video I did up on it for my main YouTube channel, since it's been lacking lately.

Okay, changed my mind on the wheels. Going to go with MB Old School wheels. After photoshopping them onto my car, I was sold.
Likely in a 17x8 up front and 17x9.5 rear. (also lowered in photoshop)

Plans for the weekend are as follows
      1. Remove drip rails
      2. Start the sanding process for paint
      3. Possibly fiddle with the carb a bit to fix stalling issue while turning.

should be a relatively productive weekend, but theres a chance of rain on sunday so who knows.

well my weekend didn't go as planned, but I did get enough free time to sand down the hood, and repaint it.

            few pics of that process.

Sanded down (with a face on the windshield lol)

Hood off the car and into the currently empty shed

First coat of paint laid down. Little streaky, the spray tip wasn't cleaned properly.

after 4 coats. last 2 decently heavy.

Going to give it till next weekend to cure, then wet sand it down with 800, then 1500. Should look half decent and it will be a one panel at a time paint job, as weekends are really my only time to wok on this thing.
Keep in mind this is a cheap single stage oil based paint job. I'm not spending a ton of money on this thing. just getting it somewhat presentable. Maybe further down the road I will spend some money and get a professional job done but for now, this is 100% better than what was on it.

Fun fact, I actually thought about just clear coating the sanded down good. I think the whole car sanded down and cleared would look hilariously awesome.

Small update, Got my Pertronix electronic ignition in the mail finally, and I installed that after I got home from work last night, install was super quick and easy, took about 20 minutes. Did a short video on the process of that since im going to be documenting most of the things I do on this car. Didn't fire it up to make sure I did it right as it was about 1:30 AM when I finished (I work till 11 PM, and get home around 12:30 AM) however I went out this morning before work and she fired up better than ever, and runs a bit better as well. Pretty happy!

Well I got the hood wet sanded, polished, and waxed. Half decently happy with the end results. It's by no means perfect, or as good as I could have gotten it. But now I know for the rest of the car what I need to do differently. AKA More coats! Couldnt sand it down enough to get it glass smooth as the layers were getting pretty thin. so I'll lay more coats for the rest of the car and I should be good to go.

I also blacked out the chrome trim on the hood, the headlight surrounds, and the grille! this will be the look I got for. white with black trim. Kind of a cool look in my eyes.

few pics just because I went cruising around and took some.

                                some closer-ups of the hood.

Might want to take the wax off. Paint needs a good few weeks to fully cure.

it's as cured as it's going to get. i've used this paint a ton in the past. takes about 7 days to cure. which is what I gave it. should be fine.

Also possibly found a set of bumpers. been scouring ebay for a while and might have a set.

                                          Firstly, dont do this please.

Secondly it looks fantastic, I really like the blacked out bumpers, what kind of bumper will you put on in the end?

It will be getting a set of "small bumpers" from the 71-72 model year maverick. Pictured below.

Its your build so I wont argue, make it yours man!

I like those bumpers, I much prefer that to the bigger style ones, I would do this or a more modern style bumper, with a bit of a lip to it.. Ill try to find a picture and update this.

Yep those are way better. Really arent any other options. Unfortunately since it's a less.common car, there's far less parts available than let's say a mustang.
