Did Chop Thursday, not bad. Found it hard to eat and the meat was underwhelming. Was really spicy only if you got no bun or meat in a bite which happened often as the burger had the wrong bun or something. With the sauce it was hard to keep it all together and you ended up with some bites all bun and some with no bun (especially near the end). Quite tasty when you got a bit of everything in one bite though. Overall 8/10.
Went to Nuburger on Kenaston Friday night. Really well balanced burger. Was worried about the avocado and goat cheese (neither are my favorites) but it all worked really well together. The meat portion I found to be much better than the Chop burger and Nuburger is $4 less. Definitely get it with the yams instead of the asian slaw. Overall a 9.25/10.
Went to Oakwood Bistro today for the Thanksgiving burger. I had serious reservations about such a loaded burger as I generally like my burgers simple, but it was amazing! Every bite was a little explosion of flavor in your mouth. It is a must to eat with a knife and fork to stay clean and get all that goodness blended in every bit. Paired it with a glass of wine and the alfredo fries. Yes, Alfredo fries, think poutine with alfredo sauce, feta, parmesan and bacon. If you only do one burger week burger I highly recommend this one. Overall 10/10.
