So even though I currently own 3 cars, I'm a truck guy at heart. This truck was the first automobile I purchased and I will probably own it my entire life.
Purchased in 2012 as a one owner, older gentleman owner, was in great shape.

Specs:
2006 ford ranger FX4 level II
4.0 SOHC V6
5 Speed Auto
3" body lfit
33" tires

Cliff notes of the changes it's been through.

Day I bought it. Stock, grandpa grill guard and bug deflector, 31" tires, and side steps.

Did a few mods that aren't picture worth the first week of owning. Removed steps, bug guard, and grill cover. Did a mod that allows fog lights on all the time (factory they go off with high beams), changed out the exhaust for an MBRP turndown system.

first summer I tossed on a set of 32" tires on steel wheels. zero lift still at this point

Plasti dipped the hood and grill with an idea i've seen done before. I liked it, and had it painted professionally at a later date.

Testing the flex on with the 32's. It rubbed a little so I knew a lift was in order soon.

In goes the 3" Body lift.

Sitting pretty silly looking with the lift and worn down 32" tires.

sooooo 33's were ordered! 33x12.50x15 hankook MT. love these tires. super good in mud and deep snow.

Fast forward to winter, sent my truck in to have some hail damage repaired, and my hood painted as perviously mentioned.

I often jump my truck, and this is the result of that. Snapped a leaf spring. whoops! Tossed in a used ranger spring and started the hunt for some 64" long chevy leaf springs.

couple months later, I found the springs I needed!

So the work began. To run these I had to move the front spring hangers forward on the frame. as these are longer than stock springs. Meaning more travel, meaning better jumps.

Had a jackstand fail, which was fun!

hangars moved and leaf springs in.

I removed the factory 1.5, or 2" block and still gained about 3/4" of lift with these springs as well. so it was nice to get rid of that stupid lift block they use from factory.

Bought a dana 30 solid axle (came from a Jeep Cherokee) to swap in. *this hasnt happened yet, priorities started coming into affect at this point. still ahve the axle though, it might happen.

Thats about it really, the wheels have changed color a few times, currently they are orange lol. I took the muffler off and it's not straight piped after the cats.
been driving it and abusing it pretty much like that.

have had 4x4 issues for a while now, and last winter it got really bad to the point the chain inside the transfer case was slipping. so I'm currently having that rebuilt, and I will have working 4x4 this winter which will be fun! Truck currently has 256,xxx kms on it. So it's pretty decent that it lasted this long! hopefully I get another 250+ out of it.

I have a set of 33" duratracs i'll be studding for winter use this year. that will be nice.

I'll find a few later today lol. I didn't catch the good ones as they were spur of the moment, but I have a few of the crappier ones.

Got my battery in this morning, redid the terminals. Fires up like a dream.

Also got my transfer case back yesterday. Gonna wait till the weekend to slap it back in. going to do plugs as well.

some baby jumps, 3 weeks after I got the truck. these ones suck but hey, it was fun.

latest ones. It's hard to find a spot that works now that the rear end is long travel, but the front end is still stock. this was at about 140-150 km/h

and this is the one that snapped a leaf, and blew apart a front shock.

It wasn't too bad on me. Truck didn't like it.

Nah this is all close to my town. Actually never been to Seddon's yet.

Transfer case is back in the truck. driveshafts all back in, and she works like a charm!

had a misfire so I tossed in new plugs, was mostly better but then I was getting a fuel issue so I tossed the stock tune back in the truck. problem gone. Odd. maybe it was just bad fuel from sitting for a few months. Either way shes working great again. Going to be a fun winter.

Make sure you get the right plugs. Most auto stores list the wrong plugs. Take a quick google search and you will find a ton of threads on it on different ranger forums.

I always stick with OEM when it comes to plugs and oil filters. right from ford. and I always double check the gap on plugs before installing.

Still waiting for my wheel bearings to show up. But I got the new tires mounted on the wheels I painted up. Still need to be studded though. should be 100% ready for winter after this coming weekend. Im excited for the snow now.

those are going to be beastly on there. Kinda want a set of Duratracs for winter but I've already Got 2 sets of winter rated tires and 1 of them being strictly winters lol Also crazy how big 33s look on there

Should be pretty decent yep! i wanted 35's but couldn't afford to re-gear before winter so i just went with 33's haha should do the trick. my brothers chevy has duratracs and they are pretty decent in winter. His truck being a 2wd it needs all the help it can get.

Going to be interesting to see how the studs change their behavior on the icy highways. Shouldnt need to drop it in 4wd on those super windy days anymore.

just checked the tracking on my bearings. Looks like they got to winnipeg tonight so I should have them tomorrow morning. Maybe i'll have to get up early and swap those out before work. It's a bit sketch driving on them right now.

tossed my sub back into the truck this weekend. Needed the space in the trunk of the car. It sounds better in the truck anyways.

lmao yeah it's not terrible but it isnt clean. too much extra wire for when It's in my car. i swap it around so i cant shorten the wires any. I guess the sub-amp wires can be shortened though, I should do that.

and yes, I have 2 axes in my truck. Come at me bro.

                                                Thanks man.

picking up a cap for the bed either this week or next week. Will be nice to have that on especially over winter. Keep the snow out and everything in there dry so I don't have to dig through snow to find my jack, or shovel. or spare. haha.
