Another update since the last time I posted.

With both subframes and the gastank dropped I utilized this time and undercoated the car, which turned out quite nice

My last shipment of powdercoated parts also came in and they turned out quite nice. Mainly it was miscellaneous parts that included suspension parts, motor mount brackets, my air intake manifold, etc

I also mounted up the front subframe and started assembling the front suspension.

The areas that arent undercoated around the coilovers wont be seen as there a plastic wheel well cover.
The gas tank I spray bombed it silver and it turned out decent

Along with that I painted the rebuilt diff a black and silver

I also mocked up how my valve covers would look (very white like the car)

That pretty much sums up this update, the only thing holding me up is the machine shop and once the block is back it shouldnt be long before its back on the streets (May hopefully).

Another little update, putting together most of the suspension has been completed. I installed the new fuel pump and put the fuel tank up. Beforehand I had the hangers powercoated and I spraybombed the gas tank a silver. Along with this I mounted the rear subframe and the differential. All the bolts have been sandblasted and painted as well.

I got my spindles back from the shop I had new seals and bearings pressed in. Most of the front suspension is put together minus the tie rod ends.

Currently just trying to figure out the rear spindles, the outer seal doesnt appear to fit so hopefully itll be figured out soon enough so the rear suspension can go in.

So it beens a while since Ive updated, but a fair amount has happened. Sadly I didnt make it out to spring awakening due to work but it looked like a lot of fun! My car also sadly hasn't been completed due school but everything is coming together. At the moment Its just the engine that has to be done and that is almost complete.

The first big thing that came in was the turbo. I had it sent to Driftmotion where they freshened it up and put in a 57mm compressor wheel. From what Ive heard it should make around 400whp at around 18-20psi. This should be fine for power wise for now (I hope  ;D)

Next I ordered some stuff off of rock auto. Mainly just new coolant hoses, along with a new starter and a blower motor resistor.

After helping my friend put in the engine in his supra he gave me this nice carbon fibre arm rest too  ;D

I also made a stop by speed factor and picked up a weighted shift knob and some new lug nuts since my studs are longer now (ARP ones)

After a good 5 month wait my oil pan finally arrived. I have it sent to out to have trap doors put in place(for road racing), maybe overkill but now its done. Just needs paint.

Picked up a BOV from my friend. Mine was a fakie so it was time to upgrade to a real one

While I was waiting for all of this, I slowly put my rear suspension all back together. It really is something you'd have to see in person since its spotless  8-)

I took apart the tail lights too by soaking them in near boiling water and pulled them apart. There was alot of dirt that was inside that youd see everytime Id brake so I fixed that up and glued them back together.

I put in the steering rack and tie rod ends and hooked it back up to the steering wheel

So this is how the car sits currently, once the engines in Ill have to remount the intercooler(more safe this time) and it should hopefully be good to go.

Thanks man, yeah I forgot to update the thread since I was super occupied on really working on it to get it road worthy. I literally just got it running last week its a quite devastating I have to put lots of stuff back together. Im glad at least it was found. It wasn't a moment too late since there were basically stripping the car when we showed up. Not too much was lost but it is a set back, lots of little things are gone and such

It looks like you have a lot of heart in this car: It's great to see that you got it back. If you had a chance to just write it off and get another supra, it seems like you probably wouldn't have wanted to just get another one, so getting it back is great. Sucks to have more work, but you have it. Sending good vibes your way.

I heard someone came across it while the guys were working on it. What happened after that? Did he call the cops and yourself to notify it had been found? Did you confront the guys or leave it to the cops? Curious how the rest of it went down. Glad you got it back!

Thanks man yeah not getting rid of this one. It does really suck I just got it running a week earlier. I caught them parting it out pretty early on so they hadn't sold too much. Just a few things like the intake ill have to pick up and hooking back up the inter cooler, rad and turbo.

He was a construction worker working a few houses down, i posted it in the UE fb group and he responded saying he saw it around 12hr after I posted my lost car ad. My dad and I went down there to double check to see what was going on, when we got there my car was parked in a back lane beside a garage which was open with 2 guys in it. We realized pretty quick since the garage had my parts literally sitting inside inside the it. The guys were around my age, didn't seem too bright... We didn't let them leave and called the cops right after we got there. A few cop cars showed up and arrested them what has happened to them i'm not too sure. The guy who actually stole the car wasn't there so i'm not sure if hes been caught or not. They haven't updated me on too much.

From what i've heard now, the previous weeks there had been multiple reports of garage break-ins in my neighborhood but I wasn't aware of this. Car was in my front garage and they broke in and stole it super early in the morning. Where I sleep isn't near the garage so no one heard the door open. I posted an AD that it was stolen everywhere, including the UE facebook group. A construction worker nearby was in the group and said he saw it. My car to my knowledge is one of the only if the only white package 89+ running in town so I knew right away it was mine. They had it behind their garage in a back lane near BDI/pembina area. Trust me if I could I would but I held myself back aha jail time is better for them.

That's crazy man, I'm very glad you got your car back.

Did they tow it or drive it away? If they drove it, does your car have an MPI immobilizer?

They drove it, the car really doesn't have any security since it wasn't going to be my daily and always kept in the garage. It seems that's not enough though to rely on so Ill probably be installing one along with a few things now.The people who actually stole it seems they weren't from my neighborhood and seemed like they were targeting it. A guy a few streets even down had his Subaru broken in and sound system stolen super recently so I feel my area is being targeted. Yeah I'm happy enough we got it back fast enough, they just started to part it out so im only missing my subwoofer, deck and a few little things

I kinda think thief's can use top tier to see what people have in there cars, and find info on where they live and what not. I might stop doing my journal and even asked for it to be removed completely.

Yeah maybee. I kind of remember seeing one of them at the UE car show looking at my car so Id say if it was itd be from there. My car looks pretty sleeper inside and out and it didn't seem like they knew what they had. So I don't think they saw this. Now though, security is pretty tight we got cameras and the car will be protected like fort knox so we'll see what happens. I still have one last update to make on the engine and then the threads done so I might as well finish it.
