Haven't done a max since last year sometime. It was 415 then. I'm aiming for 455 this year.

I can Highly recommend seeing an Atheletic Therapist for a Massage once a month if you're a heavy lift. I started going In December after 3 years of lifting and My numbers sky-Rocketed. Before I was always in Pain and Now I'm usually good to go. Stretching Helps alot too

What do you define a heavy lift?

Before I got in my car accident (I can only bench and do pull downs right now) I used to go for a massage every two weeks. So every second Monday. I would go to Wellington college and they're students that need more time working on people to get certified so they're still good. Would only cost $30 for an hour.

I have not, but would also be interested in getting them checked.  I assume you just ask your doctor?

i did, and it was near the end of some pct, and my numbers were much much lower than i thought they'd be.  "low end of average" for my age group

just wondering if this is common.

Yeah just ask your doctor to add it in the requisition sheet next time you do blood work

Probably due to PCT.  I just got bloodwork done a month ago.

So my back isn't healing enough to let me squat or deadlift. I hurt it about 2 weeks out of nationals, and lifted through it at nationals. During deadlifts I knew I was doing damage to it and since then (about a month now) it hasn't healed. I've had massages. I've stretched a lot and done a ton of mobility work, but all any of those seem to do is aggravate it. A couple weeks ago it seemed like it was slowly getting better, but now it seems like it isn't making any progress. Seems to be something that also pushes on a nerve so stretching in certain ways gives that "burning" sensation rather than stretching.
Blows since I was all pumped up to have a nice long off season to address certain weaknesses but now I can't really do anything.

That sucks. Lower back I'm assuming? Have you gone to see your doctor or a physiotherapist?

That really sucks dude. Back pain is the worst.

I'm in a similar boat. Felt like my rib was healing and then I got sick and started sneezing and now it hurts again.

I'd highly recommend going to see a chiropractor. They can probably fix whatever is out of place. They can do an x Ray on you

I'm going to physio on Thursday so hopefully its somewhat of an easy fix. I'll try a couple sessions of that then go see a chiro if it isn't improving. I've tended to not like chiro since all any of them have really done is cracked my back and said "there you go, an adjustment." I can crack my knuckles too but it doesn't fix anything thanks. I'm sure there are lots of chiros that put more effort into it than that but it's been my experience so far. It will be my last resort.
If anyone can recommend a good chiro that doesn't just crack your back and your neck and send you on your way, I'd like to see them.

He'll have to do an x Ray on you first so that's the most costly thing to see where your stuff is at. Then he'll see you so many days a week to fix your problems and he'll ideally never want to see you again. Not that he's not friendly , he just likes seeing people living their life.
He's also a lifter so he understand the injuries and he'll tell you how much he wants you to lift.

This one sounds like the one to go to. Who/what clinic is he at? I like the sound of him wanting to actually fix the problem and never see me again, rather than adjusting me once a week for my entire life.
