Being randomly introduced to the whole world of cafe racer bike here on TTI, it wasn't even a week after seeing the bikes on here that I decided to finally go out and get my bike liscence and get on 2 wheels.

I found a KZ400 here in Brandon that belonged to a lady who used to go out and ride with her husband. She had put the bike away in a barn and it was last registered in 99.

Brought it out, and it started right up with a bit of carb cleaner and some fresh gas.

I originally planned to leave it as it was until I got better at riding, but after a weekend with my friends Honda, I realized I preferred the lower riding stance.

And so, this winter, this bike will get torn down to the frame, parts will be powdercoated, and next year will be awesome.

THE PLAN
Powdercoat the Frame
Paint Engine
Single Seat swap
Clip on's or modified superbike bars
Single Bar End Mirror

Haha thanks. I think I've finally decided on a color scheme. Now just the process of taking it all apart and praying it goes back together lol

Loaded the KZ400 onto a trailer and dropped it off for a safety.
things that need to be done for sure; both tires, headlight, misc bulbs and an oil pan gasket.

once that's done deconstrustion can begin!

Pretty clean looking bike, Sahber. Nothing like a good barn find. Can't wait to see it in action this summer!
