Guess that depends on vehicles. GM trucks you can max out stocks at 3" and definitely **** your CV's up, I went with Procomp Keys cause I got them cheap and did the whole front end at the same time.

Yep. Rangers don't let you go far enough with stock keys to **** things up.

And if you can go far enough with stock GM ones to mess things up, why would you need aftermarket keys...? Just crank the stock ones a little bit...

Oh dang. Really? People online said it's more dependant on the tire pressure. Also it can act like a bead lock because of the pressure. So the max would be 33x10.50? I guess there's no real point to lift then, because we can fit those stock. I wanted the lift and 12.50s.

Had Costco tell me that if I want warranty on my tires I can bring the rims in and they can mount them on the rims, then they'll have warranty . Otherwise if they mount it on my truck itself they'll know what vehicle it's going on so they wouldn't warranty them. Pretty sweet . I didn't think they were going to warranty at all cause they're oversized

That's odd. Shouldn't matter what vehicle they're going on.

Well I was told before that Costco will only put the OEM size on , and that's it. So this was good news for me at least. They said it's their only way around the policy. Because according to Costco if you're putting larger tires on , you require a lift to run them safely. Or if you go smaller , your load rating must be the same. they won't install a lesser rated tire than OEM. But they said obviously most trucks can run larger tires, so bring the rims only in , and then they'll warranty them and put install rim only. Rather than install vehicle ________

Yeah, but the tires are a good price.
33x10.50x15 BFG KM2 for $1100 . Plus the other stuff, would come to just under $1200 I think.

Do you have cranked t bars?
I'm going to be cranking mine in a couple days.
How much do I crank? Do I crank them all the way up? You said before that our trucks won't let us max them out anyways so if I go all the way up that's actually not the full amount right?

People also say that in a couple days they settle down. So if they're going to sink a bit too

yes mine are cranked. crank them till its level. It wont take a few days. crank them, drive around the block, and see where it sits.

park somewhere level, measure the back, top of tire to bottom of fender opening, in the middle. do the same up front and see how far you have to go. write these numbers down.
start with two full turns of the bolt (tightening)  drive around the block and see how much higher it sits.
make sure you're tightening the bolts with the front tires off the ground.

park somewhere level, measure the back, top of tire to bottom of fender opening, in the middle. do the same up front and see how far you have to go. write these numbers down.
start with two full turns of the bolt (tightening)  drive around the block and see how much higher it sits.
make sure you're tightening the bolts with the front tires off the ground.

Well I have the AAL to put in as well. So level really isn't the issue, just a safe amount of lift. I don't know if that same statement applies.
The tires will be off the ground. It'll be on a lift actually.
I'm changing both front CV axels. Front ball joints. Tie rods. Rear drums and pads. Installing the AAL and t bar crank.

I bought all the best parts I could. Lifetime warranty on ball joints and tie rods so if the t bar crank blows then I'll get new ones . Hehe
                                    I even asked about that.

yeah Id do all the other stuff, drive around the block then measure, crank two turns and see where it gets you. You shouldnt have to max them out at all, I'm still not maxxed out on mine.

So two turns is 2-2.5 lift? Sweet

well, probably not, I can't quite remember how many I did. but if you start with two, have your measurement from before, then measure after it will give you how much lift you gained, then you can figure out how many more turns you need to do.

                                          example with made up numbers:

                                          Rear after AAL: 15"
                                          Front before crank: 13"
                                          Front after 2 turns: 14"

this tells you 2 turns gains you an inch, thus you need 2 more turns to be level with the AAL.

these numbers are just made up as an example, but hopefully it makes sense.

suggestion, mark the bolt so you know exactly how many turns you've done. and do the same amount on both sides.

But hey that's smart! I'll definitely do that. Then I'll just keep adjusting it accordingly
