Question: Mazdaspeed3, currently with a sort ram intake+inlet pipe, modified fuel pump, ecu flash, short shifter, stock street tires/wheels, what class does it fall in?.  Also, I plan on installing a down pipe to replace both catalytic converters, would that change my class from the current one??

        Thanks!

Are you running stock boost levels? What year?

Your 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 appears to be in DSP. The fuel pump mod automatically places you in street prepared as it is not allowed in Stock or Street Touring (STX for a MS3 like yours). The good news is the exhaust mod you have planned would also be legal in DSP. I'm not sure if your ECU re-flash changes the boost levels, it's legal in SP classes to increase the boost, but illegal in Street Touring.

Class yourself as DSP-S (S for street tires)

Yes, it does alter the stock boost levels. DSP-S it is then! :) thanks!!

Question: When reading this thread I see that there are four sets of times, so I am assuming it reads 1st run / 2nd run / 3rd run / 4th run, but what is the blue after that?

Question: Beside the time there is a number in brackets, I think that represents how many cones were hit during that run, however is the time including the penalty or not?

Glad to see MWR  cleaning house btw....

The blue number is the difference in time between the driver ahead and behind each individual.

The time shown includes the cone penalties.

                    Classification question:

                    2007 Yaris RS
                    23mm rear swaybar (none stock)
                    195/60 all seasons on 16x7  +40 wheels (185/60 on 15x5.5 +46 stock)
                    Short shifter kit

I think this puts me in Street Touring H?
I consider every deleted post a small victory.

You almost got it. Yes you would be in Street Touring (ST), however there's no "H" in (ST). The correct class for you Yaris would be STF.

If the Yaris didn't have the those 16" wheels or a short shifter it would in Stock. Specifically "H-stock".

The car is a 2000 Civic correct?

I checked and your car appears to be classed in Street Prepared (SP) Your official sub class would be in FSP-S.

                            Mods in my build thread,

I can make up a map with boost limited to the stock 15 PSI if that makes a big difference in the class. As far as I can tell I'm in SP

There's no car classes for the schools, you are only racing against yourself to learn.

You can change the boost to whatever you want in SP. Run whatever you are comfortable with, more isn't always best in this situation.

Wasn't talking about the school heh, was talking about normal, was wondering if taking boost down to stock 15 PSI would drop me a class down from SP to ST, I feel like I'd get molested in SP

You'll get molested in street touring as well.

Just run whatever boost you want, the most important thing right now is seat time and working on your driving skill...running in a lower class isn't going to help you all that much.

Hey Chris I looked over the rule book, but I just wanted to double check with you.

I'm wanting to move to D-Stock next year meaning i'll have to get rid of one of my sway bars. Am I able to keep my aftermarket end links with the stock bar or do I have to go back to the stock end links as well? I only ask because I believe mine are pooched from the removal.

Changed wheels from autocross setup to daily driver setup (Dunlop ZII to Continental Extreme Contact DW).

Inspected suspension and noted that I will need new brake pads and possibly rotors for new season.

Just curious is there is anything I should watch out for that would bump me out of stock class?

Example; using a "track-oriented" brake pad/rotor verses stock replacement?
Example; fitting a bigger (dimension-wise) brake pad/rotor into the stock caliper?
