Speed trap today at 11:30 AM on st-mary's northbound just north of the perimeter!

        They're probably not there anymore.

Anthony saw a cop doing radar in the "keyhole" on chief peguis and springfield.

For those who can't figure it out, a culdesac is what Anthony calls a "keyhole"

I don't get it. This is indirectly suggesting that it's okay to speed unless there's a cop present.  I understand trying to keep others out if tickets, but they shouldn't be speeding at all in the first place, especially if you're trying to establish a grown up, mature image for TTI.  Which seems to be the case, as stated in the event rules.

this thread isnt permission for people to speed excessively and race. Its to warn people that there is viu so people dont get nabbed for dumb things. Also most people do 5-10kms over the speed limit. If there is a radar then they can get a ticket. Everyone speeds little bit to some extent and you cant tell me you dont. If your doing 20 or more above the speed limit then you deserve to get caught

lol I don't want to fight about anything.

But yeah, I usually do 5 over all the time. But I don't believe cops generally stop people for that, exactly because of the fact that everyone does it.

Hey I spotted a cop right here  ???... Oh wait that's just me lol

Fyi 8) in southern Ontario it's standard for ppl to got 10-15 over and on hwy 400 it's 20-45 over(ppl rarely go 50+ since they added they stunt/racing law; 10,000$ fine and veh seizure plus court for 50+ over limit).

Also I have never pulled anyone over for doin 10 or less over the limit ;) but that's up to officer discretion, that said I have seen ppl pulled over for 7 over lol(only "hardcores" do that lol)

Exactly. I've also previously been told (and seen) directly by an RCMP officer that they don't stop people for 10 over, and hardly even for 15. Although that was on the highway, so it might translate to 5-10 in the city.

But yeah if they wanted to be dicks about it i suppose they could ticket you for 1 km over if they really wanted to?

                                20+ def pull over
                                15-19 most likely
10-15 not likely but if it's slow probably(most warnings issued)
10 & under rare to unlikely(most "fishing" for other offenses ie drugs alcohol etc) never seen or heard of a ticket for one but don't mean it can't happen

Keep in mind the lower the limit the higher the probability of being pulled over and vice versa ;)

I'm in the same boat. I have paid enough in tickets and de-merits over the years to know better. I have been receiving a full 25% my MPI rates for the last 5 years, and I love it that way.

Also most people do 5-10kms over the speed limit. If there is a radar then they can get a ticket. Everyone speeds little bit to some extent and you cant tell me you dont. If your doing 20 or more above the speed limit then you deserve to get caught

We all know how "spectacular" the VUI are, and also warning of speed traps is nice. If you're not speeding then you should be fine, unless a cop is setup where the speed drops and nabs people before they slow down.

You want to catch the speeders that do it all the time and that know there doin it... But sometimes there told where to go and you can't help it.

This is where they sit though lol...Every week at least 1 day, sometimes 2 days out of the week there is a cruiser parked at the bottom of the salter bridge waiting for people coming north bound over the bridge.
