I'd like to throw it up there but, R.I.P. Jeff Hanneman. You will be will be missed by all SLAYER fans out there.

This thread is more so for Metal music shout outs, and band that people, hate, etc.... don't be shy.

My cousin seen GWAR once, said it was ridiculous.

I've seen Metallica at the Winnipeg Arena, Godsmack opened.  Was a good time.

I can't say I've seen many metal shows, but Iron Maiden and Megadeth are high in my priority on my iPod

                      Weird.

Also weird how he decided to step away from being a Christian band and not be labelled that anymore.  Like putting legitimate effort into getting away from that.  It's a weird turn.

That's insane. I just don't understand why he went and hired a 'professional' and not some homeless person who could have done it for cheaper..... oh well, there was no murder, so that's good news.

Homeless person gets arrested because they can't/didn't cover it up.

Gets interrogated.  Bullied into some sort of information.

                            You get found out.

EDIT:  I should have added, I ASSUME that's how it would work.  Haha, I have no experience and never plan to do something like that.

There are smarter ways. but yes, eventually in most cases, you get dinged.

On the other hand, I'm driving out to Montreal in June(and some visiting to do in Timmins, Midland and ottawa ontario), but i will be attending ROCKFEST. The line up is insane and the tickets for the weekend are cheap. check it out.

More money my friend. The band called Spoken, did the same thing. Christian labeled bands really don't make that much at all and their message is to spread the word of God. There was a documentary on this not too long about it, "Feeling like Jehovah's spreading the word of God to the unwilling who want to pay for our music, not our beliefs"... something like that. Just like in the rolling stones column, same argument there. But at the end of the day, it's money.

My favorite metal bands off the top off my head

Black Sabbath, Type O Negative, System of a Down, Candlemass

Also Rammstein is my favourite band of all. Its not exactly metal, but close enough. They had an amazing show last year in Winnipeg

That is true. Aside from the two we mentioned already(Spoken and As I lay Dying), Underoath is another one. Zao, Impending Doom, Tourniquet, etc... although these ones still have Christian Labels. Nonetheless, pretty good.
