Just thought I'd post a pic of what I did on my bike today, I found this on a forum how to make an better sounding more aggressive exhaust for your bike and here it is with before and after pics

I'm confused, did you take the stock exhaust and cut it down (shorten it)?  Or did you buy a shorter slip on exhaust and put it on?

Lets hear it! Make a video.

Upload the video to youtube then post the link here.

Any noticeable gains (not that you'd need any on a 250 bike).  I guess the only upside is this is a cheap way to mod your exhaust instead of a $200-$1000 exhaust system.

Here's the link to the video if my bike
              http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=c4-feed-u&v=FjsRh4PbrJ4

I won't take credit for this as I found this idea online, link below
              http://www.2fiddy.com/2008/07/shortie-exhaust-homemade/#more-307

As far as gains I notice a bit more response, there's less baffling so it restricts flow alot less, therefor very minor power gains. But if you have the know how and like this then you could do it to your own bike, it took me a couple hours start to finish

sounds a little tinny, but its most definitely louder than stock.

I'm not sold on this DIY mod, personally I think it sounded better with the stock exhaust.

Yeah it's not quite the sound I wanted, but for doing it myself and it being free Im happy with it, plus it's better then spending $400 on a Yoshimura exhaust.
