Well, it's going to be a slow process but I figure I should better start a journal before I forget what I've done to the car.

Let's start with some history. Before the WRX I had a '99 Integra GSR. I loved the car, but I wanted something that I could really enjoy all year long. I decided that a 2009 or 2010 WRX would suit me perfectly. So I started saving. A year or so later, Subaru gave the STI a facelift for 2011. But the really big news was that the 2011 WRX was going to share the wide flares that only the STI had until then. I had to have one of the first ones. Once I heard Frontier Subaru had a 2011 WRX in stock, I sold my car and purchased the 2011 Plasma Blue Limited on the lot.

I picked up the car on 8/9/10 from the dealer. The drive home was something else. Huge grin all the way home.

The next day I went out a took a couple photos while it was still stock and the paint looked good.

A couple weeks old, bought and installed Rally Armor mudflaps.

Then it was time for winter. Purchased a set of 17x8 Sparco Drifts wrapped in Blizzaks.

Fixed the gross stock lights:

Along the way I installed a Kartboy short shifter. Improved the shifting feel by a LOT.

Not totally related to my car, but I purchased a wide angle lens. Mainly for car photography. This was one of the first car related photos I took with it:

Winter started to seem really long by this point. As much fun as a snow covered parking lot is, I was ready for summer so I could start buying parts.

To pass the time I pretty much just took photos:

And then finally, it was spring. Purchased an Invidia Q300 exhaust:

After waiting for a couple months, I finally got these:

Sent them off for a couple more weeks to Jay to get them powdercoated white.

Waiting...waiting...

FINALLY, I got my wheels and tires on the car.

Then winter came quickly. I got bored of the black Sparcos so I decided to paint them:

So that's pretty much where I am now.

Oh yeah, here's a very short video of my car.

nice. How much of a drop are you going to get or will it ride at roughly the same height?

Actually Shaun/Travis, I think you'd be surprised.  I don't like slammed subies/evo's.  Something about slammed awd cars seems wrong to me.  I like them lower than stock though for sure.  Maximum would be no fender gap but not tucking tire.  Any lower and you've ruined it.

Looks great!  Very reasonable height for a daily driver.  Do you plan to swap suspension for summer/winter?
