I feel like this is a stupid question, but is there a way to have the hids on only on high beam and just have the warm white as low beam?
Thanks for your help

I'm guessing you mean in a single bulb configuration?

I believe Greg was asking whether your high beams and low beams utilize the same bulb or different bulbs. If they are different bulbs it would definitely be possible. If they are the same bulb I'm pretty sure it would be impossible.

Ok I get it. I'm pretty sure they are 1 bulb. I'll check in the morning. Is it possible to make a 1 bulb headlight into a 2 bulb?

            iForce,

What year, make and model is the application for? I dont know why you would want to do this but yes it is possible if you have a dual filament bulb in your headlights.

            Thanks for your question though.

Why do I need too OWN a car to ask questions about hids that I want to add on someone else's car?

So to answer your question: Yes it is possible to make just the high beam HID in a 2005 Toyota Tundra. The Tundra uses a H4 dual filament bulb, I sell what are called bi-halogen H4 HID bulbs which have two separate bulbs for low and high beam attached to the same base. There is one HID bulb and one halogen bulb like in the picture below. I would not reccomend doing this though; this is because the small halogen bulb is often not enough light to light up the road in front of you and you may not even think your lights are on at night until you put your high beams on and fire the HID bulbs. Your call, though this is the only way available to do what you are asking...

Typically these bulbs would use the low beam as HID and the high beam as a daytime running light on vehicles equipped with high beam daytime running lights.

If you have any questions about the bulbs or how much a kit with HID ballasts would be then send me a PM or email: tomgroth@winnipeghid.ca

                    Thanks!
