Thx Josh. So far everything has worked great. I sent the injectors to ID to get cleaned and inspected just to be safe. I also just finished building all of the fuel lines as well. Its so much nicer to be able to build the lines the way you want them compared to a bought kit.

Anyways:

Here are a couple more ghetto phone pics of the DP i just finished welding up today. I still need to add the brace that goes to the tranny and waste gate recirc pipe. I also pick up the intercooler on thursday and should have the piping run by the end of the week.

Yeah, not a bad idea getting them checked out. How much did that set you back?

Anyway, things look good.  Sorry for thread jacking.

Mitch, I ended up going with the treadstone tr1035 core with end tanks after all my research. Good value, good endtank design and great reviews.

I can't wait until I can drive it!!! Ive been working on it relentlessly for the past 2 weeks because of the massive rains/flood that hit the prairies and have been unable to work. So what better to do than build my subi up!

Anyways, She is almost done now. I still have to hardwire the fuel pump once the STM kit arrives, and just a few other small things. But I spoke with Sunny (tuner) and looks like I can't get my tune done until August. Darn but no bigs.

                    Shes aliveeeeeee!!!!!!!

I spent the last 30 hours tracking down some stupid electrical issue, decided to just remove the wiring harness and reinstall. Sure enough it works like a beauty now! It fired right up with no leaks or anything. The EL headers and new turbo make this thing sound viscous. I was only able to drive out of boost and under 3.5 rpms as told by my tuner, but im hopin today after he looks at my logs I can maybe give her some gas! Its going to sound wild when it starts fully spooling.

                        Dan

What's the benefit of having a rotated turbo on this kind of setup?   You did a solid job on the downpipe, looks great!

                          Thanks Dan.

It allows you to have a much wider range of turbo choices, larger intakes, smoother transitions, better up and down pipe geometry. Its also a lot easier to fit large turbos in the crammed engine bay with a rotated setup.

I hit 5 psi the other day on my revised tune. :) anddddddd my car now sounds like a jet airplane. The HX35 screams, even at low boost such as that. Nothing beats the sound of a larger turbo spooling!

Drive by vid. Hit about 2 psi  :D

I have been driving around on 14.5 psi for a couple weeks now and its been a blast.   I dont have time until spring to get to calgary for the dyno tune but im now working with Eric at Tourqed Performance to get me a map that lets this turbo breath!

I should have a fine tuned map by the end of this week. The car at 14.5 psi is just as quick as before. Im just too excited to see what it feels like with boost into the 20's.
